GARDEN Brentwood
Futures Explored is excited to share their program highlight: GARDEN Brentwood! GARDEN Brentwood is a day program and we support 16program participants with moderate to severe intellectual and developmental disabilities. Nearly all participants require full support with mobility, communication, eating, personal care, medication administration, and some have Restricted Health Conditions.
Do we garden in Brentwood?
Kinda… we try. Cue playful disappointment.
But what do we really do?
Everything else! Cue the cheering.
GARDEN stands for: Growing – Adapting – Relaxing – Doing – Enjoying – Naturally

16 participants currently, with a few more joining soon.
New participants will have specialized support funded by Regional Center of the East Bay, including interpreters, therapists, and 1:1 staffing.
Additional staff will be hired to support the growing program.
Life-Changing Equipment Updates
Occupational Therapists from Regional Center of the East Bay evaluated participants’ wheelchairs last week and six participants will get new wheelchairs, three custom-molded, significantly reducing typical wait times of seven+ years.
At GARDEN Brentwood, we may not be a gardening center but we grow possibilities every single day!
